Founded in 1986 by Mr. Periyasamy in Kunnathur, Tiruppur district, PHE began with a relentless focus on solving the hydraulic weaknesses of imported drilling rigs. By engineering custom heavy masts, oversized feed cylinders, and high-tensile rotary heads, PHE rigs earned an unmatched reputation for near-indestructible durability.
MILESTONES OF INNOVATION.
Mr. Periyasamy starts Periyasamy Hydraulic Works. Specialized in custom engineering high-pressure hydraulic cylinders, power take-off (PTO) assemblies, and agricultural hydraulic machinery.
Fabricates the company's first fully indigenous truck-mounted deep-drilling hydraulic rig. Designed specifically to penetrate South India's notorious hard crystalline granite belt with high penetration speed.
Introduces high-capacity planetary reduction top-head rotation drives and heavy 40,000 lbs pullback cylinders, expanding standard deep water-well drilling capabilities down to 1,500 feet.
Commissions dedicated 30,000 sq ft manufacturing plant in Kunnathur equipped with overhead gantry cranes, robotic welding bays, precision CNC lathe turners, and high-pressure 350-bar testing testbeds.
Patents and releases the PHE Automatic Rod Changer (ARC). Completely removes human hands from the high-risk rod-indexing and torquing zone, setting an industry-wide safety milestone.
PHE rigs actively drill throughout Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, and the Middle East. Deploying connected telematics systems and specialized 2,000 ft Reverse Circulation exploration rigs.
